Equine Assisted Learning Facilitator

Sandy Hannah is a semi-retired elementary educator who taught elementary students for more than 30 years. She has educated hundreds of students and has a passion for horses and wants to get children excited about learning through the magic of horses. 

​Sandy received her training as an Equine Assisted Learning Facilitator and additional training as an Equine Specialist through the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship (PATH Intl. in Loveland, CO)

OUR STORY

At Equi-Ed, we believe in the transformative power of equine-assisted learning. Our mission is to help individuals develop essential life skills and excel in academics through positive interactions with horses.

I have a passion for childhood development, education, and horses. I hope to enhance your student's learning and get them excited as we enhance their skills together.

THE EQUI-ED APPROACH

Life Skills and Academics

We offer an individualized approach to learning through equine-assisted activities in the Minneapolis and St. Paul area. Our programs are designed to foster personal growth, improve academic skills, and build confidence. We will work as a team to create individualized goals for your student.

LIFE SKILLS

Establish tools to learn more about focusing, self awareness, decision making, problem solving, confidence, self esteem, team work, and emotional intelligence.

ACADEMIC SUPPORT

Our sessions will enhance your student's skills in reading,  comprehension, writing, and math skills in any area of pre-elementary and elementary learning.

Individual goals will be determined to guide these sessions and each session will be based upon the needs of each student.

CUSTOMIZED LEARNING

Our hour long tutoring sessions are conducted weekly and available throughout the year. Sessions are held at beautiful St. Croix Knoll Stables near Afton, Cottage Grove, Hastings, and Woodbury MN.
